Connecting Outward
1.) The Word of God
We believe in the Word of God as expressed in the Scriptures. All three forms of the Word of God must align with the written word.
2.) Prayer & Worship
We believe prayer is the ability to connect both upward and inward. We are a praying church. Worship is our offering to the Lord, but it also opens our hearts in such a way, He can write on it. Connecting upward through prayer and worship keeps us sensitive to what the Spirit is saying to the church.
3.) Healthy Relationships
Our ability to connect with one another is a reflection of God is connecting with us at the heart, soul, mind, and strength levels. Healthy people help one another. Hurt people, hurt people. Connexion desires for its member to connect inward so we can express the love of Christ outward. Healthy relationships within the body of Christ are an expression of the world of God's unfailing love for His people. Broken, hurt, and hopeless people throughout the world are in need of healthy relationships, and the church should be an example of this. A place where people are told, "welcome home."
4.) Giving
A giving congregation is a fruitful congregation. When we give of our time, energy, and resources we provide a place for others. A giving congregation grows and a selfish congregation becomes an institution and eventually dies. Serving is giving, and the opposite of being a servant is selfishness. God will never honor a selfish person!
